Marathi Actress Urmila Kothare Involved in Tragic Car Accident in Mumbai
The marathi actress Urmila Kothare was in a car accident on 28th December 2024 at Kandivali in Mumbai. Her chauffeur-driven vehicle lost control and hit two metro workers, close to the Poisar Metro station. The poor souls were killed one on the spot, while the other suffered serious injuries.
Minor injuries were sustained by Kothare and her driver, for which airbags prevented a more serious injury. Samta Nagar Police have lodged a case against the driver for rash and negligent driving and are investigating the matter further.
Urmila Kothare, formerly Urmila Kanetkar, is a Marathi cinema and television actress. She has given impressive performances in films such as Duniyadari, Shubha Mangal Saavadhan, and Ti Saddhya Kay Karte. She had taken a 12-year break and was recently seen on television in the show Tujhech Mi Geet Gaat Ahe on Star Pravah.
Beyond this film, Kothare recently has also been nominated in 2023 under Best Supporting Actress, specifically for the 2023 film Autograph.
